In my Makeup Bag

I love watching WIMB videos on YouTube. I made one about a year ago with my Speedy 30B and it was a very rookie version. I don’t know why I kept looking at the camera. Maybe a WIMMUB video would be a possibility in the future but for now, I’ll bring you this post with my LV Toiletry 19. It has been serving me well and I try not to obsess about it. The purpose of this pouch is multi-functional: organization, compactability© (that’s not an actual word in the dictionary- I made it up), visual enjoyment. It can hold many things but honestly not a bottle of 100ml perfume.

First thing in my pouch is my LaMer Tinted Moisturizer. I prefer a tinted moisturizer in the colder months over my serum because I sometimes find layering to much product does more harm and discomfort than good. It’s easy to touch up too. I find that using my fingers to spread the product is better than using a sponge or brush because it’s essentially a moisturizer with some colour in it. In the middle of the day, I use my Chanel Ultra Teint Compact Foundation on my T-Zone if needed.

Next is my Dior Golden Nights Eyeshadow Palette. This was part of one of their Holiday collections and I’ve been using it for casual days when I need a touch of neutral colours on my eyes. I don’t use eyeliners because I feel it may give me a harsh look. Just a dab of the darker shade in the palette below the waterline of my eyes really gives them subtle definition.
(This shade is sold out)

An important part of my makeup routine is the amazing Dior Backstage Face and Body Primer. I use it as a base if I’m using using my Chanel Ultra Teint Powder or my Perricone MD Foundation Serum. (More on this product soon).
This primer can also be worn alone over your skincare. I promise you, it prevents that annoying oily t-zone. Alone or under foundation. I can see a big difference when I use this as in my skin looks smooth especially in photos. I can’t say enough good words for this primer. You have to try it.

I am not a big fan of fake lashes and I have yet to try a very natural looking one. Although I love the look it creates, I like to keep my lashes natural as I love natural looking makeup overall. I tried so many brands but I keep going back to the tried and true Chanel Volumizing mascara. I can layer and layer to create a more dramatic effect or just a couple of swipes for a natural look. I get the Waterproof version since I wear optical glasses and the waterproof versions helps my eyelashes stay in place and prevents smudging. Wearing a mask 99% of the day send out moisture under the glasses and can cause smudging. But this mascara has prevented that.

When Gucci re-launched their Beauty line, I knew I had to have the lipsticks. So far, I acquired 3. One of them is the Rouge à Lèvres Voile Lipstick in Louisa Red (506). A sheer finish lipstick with luminous shine. I love that it’s moisturizing but not sticky. It’s in a pretty floral  little casing, and that sealed the deal for me. Me and my flowers.

Tom Ford, we all know, brought Gucci back to life. An amazing life. It only makes sense that he acquired and created his own brand. Tom Ford has been a blogger’s household name ever since he took the Creative helm at Gucci twenty-some years ago. Jen Aniston had been one of his muses. Go figure.
After a successful RTW and Luxury Accessories launch, he made dreams come true by creating his own beauty line. And what a wonderful world of makeup it has been.
I started collecting his eyeshadow quads. Not too crazily, but enough to suit my wants. But one of my favourite products is this Luxe Lipgloss from his Soleil Collection. It is no longer available but click the link to view the lipgloss collection. This particular gloss gives a subtle glitter over your favourite lipstick shade. I use it on any lipstick I decide to wear and gives it that extra subtle sparkle. Perfect for formal dinner dates.

Of course I have to have my Dior Rose Hand Cream. I talked about it in one of my posts . Check it out via photo below.

So there you have it. My Makeup Essentials that I have everyday.
Send me a message if you want me to try a certain product or line and post an honest review!
Or if you have a product recommendation that you think I should add to my makeup essentials!
