DIOR PRESTIGE LA CRÈME MAINS DE ROSE

This recently launched hand cream is described as the first Dior hand creme that combines the power of Rose de Granville micro-nutrients with rose fiber extract, rose wax and rose oil. Dior promises that this fluid balm envelops the hands and nails in the micro-nutritive and revitalizing power of the Rose de Granville. I just had to try it.

When I tried this hand cream, I fell in love with the subtle floral scent. Not over powering but lingers nicely. My hands felt super soft and the dry winter skin immediately disappeared! After a couple of days, I saw improvement. My hands and nails were softer and silkier. We all have stubborn winter skin during the season and for me in particular, dry hands bother me. But this hand cream is worth to try and will not disappoint. I do love my Dior beauty products, but this takes the cake. We are mostly familiar with the brand’s incredible eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks, but the brand has created amazing skin and body products. 

This is a 5-star, highly recommended product. 

BIOSSANCE SQUALANE + ELDERBERRY JELLY CLEANSER

The brand describes this amazing cleanser as a gentle yet powerful all-in-one jelly cleanser that nourishes your unique microbiome while effortlessly erasing makeup, daily pollutants and impurities.

The description also says the product has antioxidant -rich elderberry extract and a nourishing prebiotic complex strengthen, protect, and promote an overall healthier-looking complexion while the hydrating squalane leaves the skin super clean, soft, and fully refreshed.

And I was intrigued with the combination of ingredients so I had to give it a go.

I tried it after a full day of full makeup - waterproof foundation, mascara and eyeshadow, matte lipstick, the works. It says gently rub on your skin for a few seconds and rinse with warm water. Understood. And voilà, clean, fresh skin. If that doesn’t say it’s awesome, I’m on my 3rd tube and I started using it in November last year. You don’t need much, I squeeze about a quarter-size dollop and it’s good for the whole face and neck. The price is also great considering how many brands are charging more with less effectiveness. And may I say, the promise of healthier-looking skin, fulfilled! 

DERMALOGICA SKIN SMOOTHING CREAM

One thing that Dermalogica prides itself in, is that they are not selling beauty products to cover your skin challenges but providing skin care formulas for healthy skin. Dermalogica represents the beliefs of Jane Wurwand and optimum skin health. Redefining skin health. I have been following this brand for a few years but never really took it seriously. Well, I am now a huge fan. In winter of 2019, I had skin trouble. I started using this Dr. Strum powder cleanser (I tried it because it was recommended by celebrities. Yes. You know how that works.) I did the whole lineup - steps to get rid of dead cells in my face and bring out fresh looking skin. Wooh! What a pricey mistake. After a week, my skin started getting really red in spots around my cheeks. I figured it was due to the cold weather. My skin got itchy, I lathered on moisturizer, drank more water, but it didn’t take long for me to realize, it was the skin care products I was using. I did my research on how to fix my skin- what products to try. So after this long story, all I want to say is I chucked the Strum line and used Dermalogica. Or should I say my skin’s saving grace. In 24 hours, my skin was on its way to recovery. I haven’t strayed since. 

DR. J.R. WATKINS LEMON CREAM MOISTURIZING LOTION

I am always searching for a good body lotion. I think it’s an ongoing habit of mine. If it has the right ingredients, I’ll try it. And let me tell you, I have been disappointed many times. Enter Dr. JR Watkins. 

This body lotion has generous amounts of lemon oil, shape butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and vitamin E. it smells delicious and works on the driest spots of your body. I discovered it while passing time at a drug store waiting to pick up my kid from school. And it was a great discovery. Try the hand cream first if you’re hesitant. I don’t mind stocking up on this lotion. 

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Charlotte's Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir

Skin care would not be complete if there is nothing for your lips. This brand is famous for its beautifully formulated eyeshadows and of course, face cream. So when CT came out with this lip oil, ‘I had to try it. This amazing product, according to the brand, is a lip conditioner by day and lip mask by night that is enriched with hyaluronic acid and plant extracts for intense hydration and fuller-looking lips.

I loved this lip product from the first morning I used it. My lips thank me for it. 

I love good skin care. Beats going to the dermatologist to fix problems.
