Casual Days

We all look forward to the weekend. Friday morning comes and we think TGIF ! What I realized is that I never really plan my weekend outfits. I don’t stress on what jeans to wear, or what makeup to use. Everything just comes together. Monday to Friday outfits are usually what challenges us. What do I wear on Monday in case there’s a company meeting? How about Tuesday? A full office day so do I wear comfy jeans since I will be sitting in front of the computer all day.

This outfit is what I usually pull out of my closet when we decide to go out for brunch and pick up stuff we need at the mall. I sometimes wear my Converse high tops in black or my Common Projects boots. But I do try to find reasons to wear my Mulberry Stud Boots here, especially during below zero degree temperatures.

I am in the process of simplifying my wardrobe. It is very rewarding to not have to look at your closet and think that you need more clothes. Then go out and buy more which might not even be worn as much. I consistently choose to buy better quality pieces, that will go with everything. It’s also good to spend that extra dollar for better quality pieces. I don’t see any sense in buying a shirt for $5 or $10 that shrinks in the wash then go out to buy a similar one. It’s really an unsustainable cycle.

I have to include my simple hair care routine in this post. Oribe is a staple. It’s been very good to my hair. Do you wash your hair everyday? This combo is gentle to my hair and keeps the moisture in as well as keep my hair shiny.

These boots were a limited edition from Mulberry.
The brand only brings out select shoe styles once in a while.
These are the best ones I’ve owned so far.

Here are some alternatives that are as comfy & stylish:
