Keeping my WFH closet in perspective

Working from home and online learning has been the norm since early 2020. We all know why. Needless to say every aspect of everyone’s life came to a halt then drastically changed. There was no time to be idyll in a creative kind of way. Truth be told our creative minds went to work. How to create an office space without distractions, how to be productive and get your views across during Zoom meetings, how to keep your kids up to standards with their online schooling. It was a debacle, but also made me realize how resilient we are as human beings. How empathetic we are towards others, how forgiving we can be because we realized we also cannot be perfect at all times. I remember putting off things I want to work on in my house before the pandemic and now I’ve gotten through half of that forgotten list ! And one of the things in that list is to re-asses my wardrobe and clear out anything I haven’t used in 1 year. I remember finding so many good deals while working in the retail fashion industry that I just bought what I thought I could incorporate to my wardrobe and with pieces I already own. And what happens to me is I find something I like and my mind goes into overdrive placing that piece into my outfit ideas. So I decided to “ journal” my daily outfits here. It’s a start so bear with me, I hope that through these posts you can be inspired by my outfit ideas. Shopping my own closet starts now....

I have a penchant for neutral colours - especially those within the autumn colour spectrum. Browns, beiges, mauves, tawny pinks. My bags would be dominated by those colours and some black.

But here’s the thing: I love a mix of luxury and high street and contemporary. So you’ll see a whole lot of  beautiful affordable pieces from my current wardrobe!
